Horror Panegyric

Lord Horror is the creation of David Britton and Michael Butterworth, founders of Savoy Books in England. Though the novel Lord Horror was effectively suppressed and remains difficult to find even today, the character Lord Horror multiplied, made appearances in different media, spawned other characters who in turn featured in their own books, comics, music. Though I’d been aware of Savoy for some time, the first of their tomes that I read was the novel Motherfuckers: The Auschwitz of Oz, which was the follow-up to Lord Horror.
