Losing My Perfect Job

Two different companies turned me down because of a lack of experience working with and mentoring junior developers. While it’s great that companies are looking for that kind of experience in senior developers, I felt a bit hard done by — I knew that I’d be great working with junior developers, but I’d failed to get that across in interview anecdote form. Well, what those two companies didn’t know was that I already had an offer from a company which would give me plenty of opportunities to work with junior developers and get mentoring experience, as a team lead no less.
