How having a non-typical tech stack actually helped us get better candidates
We chose Elixir to build AgentRisk, the first wealth management platform with automated options strategies. What’s more, we had very good initial impressions from experimenting with Phoenix, which seemed to bring the best parts from Ruby on Rails, paired with all the great things about Elixir and its ecosystem (e.g. Ecto, Guardian, credo, excoveralls). In fact, we have had a really great experience interacting with the community on the Elixir Slack channel, which is where we actually found few of our best candidates (and the candidate we actually hired!)

For Mazda’s newest system in the Mazda 3, the Command Controller is repositioned within the center console so as to feel more natural for those of shorter stature, to allow menu navigation, using what the team called fine motor skills rather than the gross motor skills required by a touchscreen.

JsCoq is an interactive, web-based environment for the Coq Theorem prover, developed at the Centre de Recherche en Informatique of MINES ParisTech (former École de Mines de Paris). We don’t provide a Coq tutorial (yet), but as a showcase, we display a proof of the infinitude of primes in Coq. The proof relies in the Mathematical Components library by the MSR/Inria team led by Georges Gonthier, so our first step will be to load it and set a few Coq options:
