Truth: A Love Story

Truth: A Love Story

Only now do I realize that my mother, my angel and protector, 11 years younger than my father, also excelled at this, and I suspect I learned a great deal from her, albeit subliminally. This remarkable fact of inheritance provides a foundation for relating the amount of DNA identity between any two persons and the number of generations likely separating their last common ancestors—parents for siblings; grandparents for cousins; great-grandparents for second cousins; etc. Within two months of searching public and private DNA ancestry databases, identifying DNA relatives and the amount of DNA identity, and computing, constructing, and connecting family trees up and down multiple generations, I eventually discovered the identity of my biological father, whom I had code-named “the crybaby” since my latent but previously suppressed ability to cry had been fully unleashed during this period.

You can do mostly the same thing with , but you will miss content in other file types and it will be much slower:

On the first run rga is mostly faster because of multithreading, but on subsequent runs (with the same files but any regex query) rga will cache the text extraction, so it becomes almost as fast as searching in plain text files. rga will recursively descend into archives and match text in every file type it knows. Some rga adapters run external binaries to do the actual work (such as pandoc or ffmpeg), usually by writing to stdin and reading from stdout.

Has “Homosexual” Always Been in the Bible?

Has “Homosexual” Always Been in the Bible?

So an American company paid for it and influenced the decision, resulting in the word homosexual entering the German Bible for the first time in history. And, in fact, in the Norwegian version, she pointed out, that if you were to line up boys of different ages and say which group of these boys is this referring to, it would be the 8-12 year old group. In my opinion, if the RSV did not use the word homosexual in first Corinthians 6:9, and instead would have spent years in proper research to understand homosexuality and to really dig into the historical contextualization, I think translators would have ended up with a more accurate translation of the abusive nature intended by this word.

Cl-cpp-generator – A Common Lisp library to generate C/C++ code

The following function write-source hashes the output of each call in `*file-hashes*` and will not emit code of unmodified s-expressions into C source code. So if you run this code in a fresh Common Lisp instance all C files will be touched and require a rebuild. The function (test ) will emit C code as defined by the s-expression in using the emit-cpp function into /dev/shm/1.

Taiwan remains world’s fifth biggest creditor at end of 2018

Taipei, June 15 (CNA) Taiwan remained the fifth largest creditor in the world at the end of 2018 by having the fifth strongest net international investment position of any country, according to Taiwan’s central bank. Taiwan’s external liabilities at the end of 2018 totaled US$768.37 billion, down US$33.55 billion or 4.2 percent from a year earlier as foreign institutional investors cut their holdings in local stocks and the value of their shares fell, the central bank said. What drives Yellowstone’s elk migrations?

What drives Yellowstone’s elk migrations?

“This [study] provides great insight into the adaptation strategies of elk to climate change in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem,” said Jonathan Jarvis, former director of the National Park Service, who now serves as executive director of the Institute for Parks, People, and Biodiversity at UC Berkeley. “The maps clearly demonstrate the need to think and operate at the landscape scale,” Jarvis said, “For the park managers, this kind of research gives them options and incentives, such as protection of migration corridors and seasonal habitats, for ensuring elk and other keystone species in the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem will persist.” “We’ve been observing a lot of really interesting changes over the past decade about the way that elk are moving across the landscape, specifically of the timing of the migrations,” said Courtemanch, who supplied GPS data on the Jackson herd for the study.
