We have added a column to the Table 2 of the primary medical discipline for each medical practice reversal.

Recently I’ve spent some time changing my habits and changing the online services that I use so that I am less dependent on Google to participate in the internet. Since Google’s business model is inextricably connected to modern advertising (A.K.A. surveillance marketing I felt it was time to start distancing myself from its products and services. Besides search, my largest attachment to Google I have is through email – and I have been using Gmail for a very long time.

When geneticists crushed up the grape seed, extracted its DNA, and compared it with modern grapes, they found a perfect genetic match in Savagnin Blanc—a grape still grown, still picked, and still made into wine in Europe today. Nathan Wales, an ancient-DNA researcher at the University of York, and his collaborators came across the 900-year-old Savagnin Blanc among 28 grape seeds excavated from nine different archaeological sites around France. One group of these Roman-era grape seeds were genetically similar, but not identical, to a modern variety called Mondeuse Blanche.

In this article I want to explore how they work by implementing a very simple example where we create our own green threads in 200 lines of Rust code. This is not the best way of displaying Rusts greatest strengths, its safety guarantees, but it does show an interesting use of Rust and the code is mostly pretty clean and easy to follow. Quentin Carbonneaux wrote an nice article back in 2013 which I used as inspiration for the main code example.

We have conducted an additional experiment to assess whether NO can be responsible for the strong antifungal effect of the gas emitted by beewolf eggs. Moreover, comparison of the hazard ratio (the appropriate measure of effect size for such survival analyses) calculated for this experiment and a similar experiment that was previously conducted with beewolf eggs instead of synthetic NO revealed similar values with mutually overlapping 95% confidence intervals. Thus, our results show that (i) beewolf eggs produce incredibly high concentrations of NO, while (ii) NO emission from paralyzed bees (if it indeed occurs at all, which seems very unlikely given that NO emission has never been shown previously for an adult insect) are ecologically negligible.
