Dell has introduced its new flagship XPS 15.6-inch laptop aimed at performance-demanding users such as gamers and prosumers. The new XPS 15 7590 machine can be equipped with an eight-core Intel processor, a performance mainstream discrete GPU, as a well as an optional 15.6-inch OLED monitor. Dell says that the new XPS 15 7590 will be available shortly starting at $999.99 for a quad-core Full-HD SKU as well as $1,899.99 for a version with an OLED display.

Yesterday, the npm, Inc. security team, in collaboration with Komodo, helped protect over $13 million USD in cryptocurrency assets as we found and responded to a malware threat targeting the users of a cryptocurrency wallet called Agama. This attack focused on getting a malicious package into the build chain for Agama and stealing the wallet seeds and other login passphrases used within the application. The GitHub user published this commit on Mar 8th which added as a dependency to the EasyDEX-GUI application (which is used as part of the Agama wallet).

In a background phone call with WIRED following its keynote, Apple broke down that privacy element, explaining how its “encrypted and anonymous” system avoids leaking your location data willy nilly, even as your devices broadcast a Bluetooth signal explicitly designed to let you track your device. The stranger’s iPhone then uploads two things to Apple’s server: The encrypted location, and a hash of the laptop’s public key, which will serve as an identifier. But Johns Hopkins’ Green points out that the iPad could upload a series of hashes of all its previous public keys, so that Apple could sort through them to pull out the previous location where the laptop was spotted.

Marc Bekoff, a researcher at the University of Colorado and a lifelong student of animal behavior, argues that play broadens an animal’s behavioral repertoire, giving them the flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances.
