Aren’t AMP Caches committing copyright infringement?
Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) are specially formatted web pages that companies like Cloudflare, Google, and Microsoft copy off publishers’ websites and make available through their own AMP Cache web servers. Both Microsoft Bing and Google Search will auto-discover an AMP-variant of a document and link to it in their own AMP Caches instead of linking to the regular web pages on their search result pages when searching from a mobile device. These changes performed by the AMP Caches are done to achieve high performance but it may also be stripping away their safe harbor provisions as allowed for under EU and USA copyright laws.
