The China Study and Longevity

The book The China Study is a well-written book that explores the hypothesis that animal-sourced foods, most notably animal protein is responsible for a wide range of human health conditions. For a data set that is supposed to contain compelling and irrefutable evidence that animal-based foods, most notably animal protein are supposed to be so bad for us that addopting a vegan lifestyle could safe us from an early grave, this list is quite different from what we would expect it to be. So from this data, can we claim that either SFA, cholesterol, meat or animal protein contributes to increased longevity?
