What is it like working at a company after releasing a negatively-received game?
With the recent trend of several high-profile AAA games and companies receiving an exorbitant amount of negative press and backlash (Anthem, Fallout 76, COD, etc.), it all had me wondering what it’s like to be on the other side of it all – working for a company like EA or Bethesda or really any company going through something like this. What’s the atmosphere like in the workplace once the game is released and subsequently panned vs during production? What kind of changes are made structurally at a company once they release a game like that?
