P=NP Proofs – Advice to claimers

This is a list of ideas for anyone who claims to have solved P=NP or some similar hard open problem in mathematics. The P=NP problem is a huge open problem. If they can say something like:

I think the vast majority of claimers of P=NP or other big results have almost always worked alone.
