A Brief Summary of Lead and Crime

The lead-crime hypothesis is pretty simple: lead poisoning degrades the development of childhood brains in ways that increase aggression, reduce impulse control, and impair the executive functions that allow people to understand the consequences of their actions. There are three types of research that confirm the connection between lead and crime:

No single study is proof of the lead-crime hypothesis. Violent crime began to drop in the United States in the early 90s, about 20 years after we began reducing the lead content of gasoline.

Based on the NPS®️ methodology devised by Bain & Company, and used by hundreds of companies around the world to measure customer loyalty and satisfaction, the score is calculated based on employee responses to the question:

“How likely is it you would recommend [Company Name] as a place to work?” It then allows us to estimate, for example, how the engagement of a female employee in the United States, 1 year into her role in the healthcare industry would differ depending on whether she was a Millennial, Gen X, or a Baby Boomer. We see this Boomer trend emerge to a greater degree when employees are directly asked about the expected outcomes of employee engagement: loyalty and satisfaction.

Machine learning is very experimental, and, to be honest, those of us working in it don’t always know exactly what we’re doing. For many users, the most important type of performance documentation we can provide is a set of repeatable benchmarks, so that our models can be compared directly against results from other researchers.

BMW will soon freeze pensions for its US workers, including those at the assembly plant in Spartanburg, and shift them over to so-called “defined contribution” plans, a company spokeswoman confirmed…

BMW had already ceased offering pensions to new hires in 2012. The chart compares the employer cost over the course of an employee’s career between a defined benefit pension plan (pension) and a defined contribution pension plan of reasonably equivalent value. If there were any sort of economic justice, companies would have to contribute at least 6 percent of worker pay, and perhaps 8 percent, regardless of any employee contribution, in order to be allowed to claim they had a retirement plan when recruiting workers.

A Dutch teenager who suffered from depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anorexia after being raped as a child was allowed to die at her home, her sister confirmed on Sunday.
